My family and I are forever indebted to Aditya Birla Group for this generous scholarship. I currently work at Meta Platforms (Facebook). I have specialised in applied machine learning and became a pioneer in applying machine learning in trading (high frequency trading). I started three successful companies in this field, both in the US and India. After spending 14 years in high frequency trading, I moved to tech companies. I have worked at Google, Waymo, Discord, and Meta in senior software engineering leadership roles.

I am a technology executive and entrepreneur, residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am currently the Executive Vice President of Monetization at Reddit, which is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. I was born and raised in Bhilai, India. I attended school at Delhi Public School, Bhilai. I graduated with a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2003. I was admitted to IIT Bombay after securing an AIR (All India Rank) of 5 at the IIT-JEE exam in 1999. While at IIT Bombay, I was placed on the inaugural list of Aditya Birla Scholars in 1999. After IIT Bombay, I attended the University of California at Berkeley on a PhD scholarship and graduated with an MS in Computer Science in 2005.
