Long before HR became a buzzword, our Group's legendary leader, the late Aditya Vikram Birla, zeroed in on the criticality of talent to an organisation's success. He believed, "the success or failure of an organisation depends on people -- on human beings, on their talent, on their enterprise…" So he began tracking and incubating talent. Moving them across a swathe of stretch assignments, mentoring them through the thick and thin of business performance. In doing so, he developed leaders of the future.

The Aditya Birla Group Scholarship scheme, instituted in 1999, is our way of pursuing his ideals and spawning leaders with a passion to excel. We foster outstanding academic excellence and humane leadership values, in partnership with select institutions such as the IITs, BITS (Pilani), and the IIMs.

The ABS programme is not just about academic excellence; aspiring scholars are evaluated on holistic parameters that take on board their extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities, values, vision…their dreams.

The 157 Aditya Birla Scholars, incubated through this programme so far, are doing us proud with their achievements.
