Dr. Santrupt Misra
Director, Aditya Birla Management Corporation Ltd.

Dr. Santrupt Misra heads the Corporate Human Resources and Corporate Information Technology function of the Group. He is also Director on the Board of UltraTech, Indal, PSI Data Systems and Birla NGK. Prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group in 1996, Dr. Misra worked with the J.K. Group, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and Hindustan Lever Ltd. He has also been a trainer and consultant to about 40 organisations in India.

Dr. Misra has published a book and several articles. His areas of interest include organisation development, change management, management training and leadership. Under the aegis of the Mid Day Big Break and DAKS awards for HR Excellence, Dr. Misra has been presented the Outstanding HR Professional of the Year Award (2004). He has also been conferred the Outstanding HR Chief Award by the National HRD Network (2000), and the HR Professional of the Year Award by the India HRD Congress (2002). He was identified as among the 20 hottest young executives by Business Today (2002). Currently, Dr. Misra is the National President of the National HRD network.

Dr. Misra has two post-graduate degrees — in political science, and in personnel management and industrial relations. He also has two Ph.Ds — one from India and the other from the UK — in public administration and industrial relations. He won a Commonwealth Scholarship in 1990 for three years, and was awarded the Eisenhower Fellowship in the year 2000.
